Ron Swanson hired as lobbyist at an annual fee.

Honorary membership is established in perpetuity.

The Association joined lACO with $100 annual dues.

The Commission which hosts the Association meeting is to receive $500 to apply to costs.

The Treasurer is allowed to invest funds in interest bearing accounts.

The Secretary is to distribute minutes within 30 days after a meeting of the Association.

A copy of the election code must be available at all meetings. (The Secretary carries a copy.)

Meeting registration fees must be paid two weeks in advance, or a $5 fee will be assessed.

All persons attending the meetings must pay the $25 registration fee.

The President is required to be a member of IACREOT, is to represent the Association, and the President's IACREOT dues are to be paid by the Association.

Host Commission can spend up to $500 of Association funds for a guest speaker.

The Treasurer is authorized to write checks up to $500 without prior approval of the Executive Board.

Honorary membership be extended to active members leaving the Association. A note should be included to outline the provisions of honorary membership. In the case of a member's illness, it would be up to each Commission to notify the Association of any necessary acknowledgments that should be conveyed.

Authorized $500 for expenses for either the President or a designated delegate to attend the IACREOT or NACO conference.

The AECOI representatives on the State Board Advisory Committee would represent a sampling of the membership's views and could not bind the membership in absence of a prior resolution.

To pay the mileage expenses of the AECOI representatives appointed to the State Board  Advisory Committee, if requested.

To send letters to vendors before scheduled meetings informing them of the $25 registration fee. If a vendor contributes a sizeable donation for the meeting, the registration fee may be waived by the Host Commission.

County Clerks be charged a $25 registration fee to attend meetings. If someone failed to pay, the Association would pay the fee, if requested by the host Commission.

AECOI would pay any expenses that East St. Louis Executive Director, Jim Lewis, was unable to handle to enable him to attend AECOI meetings.

The Commission which hosts the Association meeting is to receive $1,000 to apply to costs. This policy was changed from 09/85 to 05/93.

Annual dues structure modified as follows: under 45,000, $300.00; between 45,000 to 250,000, $500.00, and over 250,000, $1,000.00.

Three (3) Executive Board members (by increasing the number of Executive Board members from two (2) to three (3) allows any association not already represented on the Executive Committee to fill that spot).

Voting at an Executive Board meeting may be in person or by proxy to another member of the Association from the same Election Commission to which the Executive Board member belongs.  Such proxy shall be valid only for the one meeting of the Executive Board described therein and only if it is in writing.

Persons attending the meeting will be charged $25 or $40, depending on the Host Commission.  Spouse and guest will be assessed a $25 registration fee.

Non-members should pay the same registration fee as the members; $60.00.

The Host Commission for an AECOI meeting shall collect the registration fees for the meeting and forward them to the Treasurer. The Treasurer shall pay up to a total of $500 for guest speaker expenses and up to $1,000.00 for other expenses incurred by the Host Commission for hosting the meeting. The Host Commission shall send the original invoices of the bills which it incurred in hosting the meeting to the Treasurer. The Host Commission shall pay guest speaker expenses which exceed $500.00 and meeting expenses which exceed $1,000 unless those expenses are covered by the registration fees collected for that meeting.

The Association retain attorney, Robert G. Day, Jr., to be on call and available to any member Commission for consultation and legal advice concerning the legal sufficiency of any Petition for Referendum which may be filed with a member Commission.

The Host Commission for an AECOI Conference meeting can incur fees for speakers totaling up to $1000, and the AECOI Treasurer will pay the speaker fees up to that amount upon receiving an invoice for such fees from the Host Commission. Speaker fees that exceed $1000 per conference meeting shall be paid by the Host Commission.

The Host Commission for an AECOI Conference meeting can incur fees for speakers totaling up to $2500.00, and the AECOI Treasurer will pay the speaker fees up to that amount upon receiving an invoice for such fees from the Host Commission.  Speaker fees that exceed $2500.00 conference meeting shall be paid by the Host Commission.

The Host Commission for an AECOI Conference can incur expenses for hosting the conference of up to $1500,  and the AECOI Treasurer will reimburse the Host Commission up to that amount upon receiving invoices for such expenses from the Host Commission.  Conference expenses that exceed $1500 per conference meeting shall be paid by the Host Commission.

AECOI will reimburse the AECOI General Counsel for up to $1500 per year for expenses incurred by the General Counsel in attending national or international conferences where election administration procedures, technology or laws are topics that are included in the subjects of such conferences.

AECOI will reimburse the AECOI President for up to $1500 per year for expenses incurred by the President in attending national or international conferences where election administration procedures, technology or laws are topics that are included in the subjects of such conferences.
